Quality Certifications
Our Company’s mission is being actualized through four management systems (MS). Quality (ISO 9001:2015), environment (ISO 14001:2015) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001:2018) are managed through integrated management system (MS) according to ISO standards, social responsibility is managed through a separate standard (Certificate Socially Responsible Employer – described below).
This integrated MS allows us to streamline our management and to increase our efficiency by addressing all elements of the management system as a whole.
Furthermore we qualify for one of the medical and automotive industry most widely used standards for quality management namely ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 16494:2016 in which we are pursuing certification. Transitioning towards this standards has allowed us to tighten out Quality Management Principles and reviewed our commited process approach and strengthen our risk-based thinking. Our Manufacturing Execution System has played a significant role and allows for complete traceability.
Social Responsibility
Certificate Socially Responsible Employer (originally “Certifikat Družbeno odgovoren delodajalec” – shorter CDOD) is the latest certificate on Slovenian market based on ISO 26000 guidelines. Its purpose is to improve socially responsible management in companies in Slovenia in their relation to employees. As the project holder, Ekvilib Institute, together with project partners, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Slovenian Association of Free Trade Unions and the Slovenian Association of Employers, developed the certificate as part of project “Socially Responsible Employer – Socially Responsible Company Certificate”. The project was co-financed by European Social Fund and is carried out through the tenderer of Slovenian Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities under the Operational Program for the Implementation of European Cohesion Policy in the period 2014-2020.

NUMEROUS IN-LINE TESTING AND VERIFICATION SYSTEMS
- Solder paste application control with SPI machine (Solder paste inspection)
- Visual control implemented with AOI (Automated optical inspection)
- Electrical functioning is controlled with ICT (In-Circuit Test)
- We also develop and manufacture functional custom test devices (FCT)
Full traceability
SMT has implemented and is using an advanced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and exercises strict control or material management, traceability of components, machine programming and work instructions from the first step through testing and shipping of the product with metrics available to management and business partners.
